Le Bistro du Beaujolais 

is a French Bistro Restaurant 

Our Hours of Operations are:

Lunch Tuesday thru Friday 11:30am to 2:00pm

Dinner Tuesday thru Saturday 5:00pm until it is time to close

Sunday and Monday we are unfortunately closed

 Reservations are preferred especially for late dining

(We offer Gluten free dishes)

How Le Bistro du Beaujolais name was chosen?

We, Georges and Claudie, were browsing through an art market “Le Marché de la Création” in Lyon and we got separated while looking at all those artistic creation. And when finally got reunited we both had something we wanted to show to each other. And we end up in front of the exact same painting representing the front of an old bistro from Lyon called:

LE BISTRO DU BEAUJOLAIS,

But what was really special about this painting was written just under the name of the restaurant:

LES CAVES DE L’AMI GEORGES

This means: The wine cellar of our friend Georges. And then when you add the fact that Beaujolais is a wine area from France and that Georges is a French wine connoisseur, this was just the sign we were waiting for.







Our History in the United States: 

We arrived in the United States on the fourth of July 1998. We had the dream to open an authentic French restaurant. And we did it but after we spent five years in Westlake running our brand new company, we agreed that a French restaurant should not be located in an office building. So we decided to find our own little nest. It took us two years of research and finally we fell in love with an old building in Olmsted Falls. It was very selfish of us to choose this location but it reminded us so much of France. This house was built in 1830, and being of a historical nature, it reminded us of our French "Antique-like" culture. The surroundings are also a true to form of the heart of a French city where people actually walk in the streets. When we remodeled the house, we were able to keep the original structure of the building. And by creating a patio outside, the picture was perfect. A true french bistro where people will sit outside as soon and as long as the sun starts to shine again and where people will stay inside and enjoy that busy bistro atmosphere during the cold season.  It's like home.
